Rolex Yacht-Master Ref. 116622 Full set

Rolex enthusiasts who dive into the history of certain models read different things about when the Yacht-Master was developed. There are rumors of prototypes of the Yacht-Master in the late 60s. Looking similar to the Paul Newman Daytona. Who knows what is in the safe of Rolex. What we know for a fact was the introduction of the Yacht-Master in 1992 at the Basel Fair. In 1999 Rolex introduced a yacht-Master in new metal, they called Rolesium, steel, and platinum used on a watch. The Yacht-Master is still the only Rolex watch with this combi.

See here a Master from 2013 with the stunning blue dial and red details. Luxury sports watch with a fresh appearance on an Oyster bracelet. Reference 116622 has the easy link extension system and the blue chroma light lume instead of the green lume. So upgraded to the 21st century. In 2019 Rolex introduced a new batch of Yacht-Masters 40 mm equipped with caliber 3255. From then on ref 1166XX was discontinued. So this blue/red master has become collectible.

Always wanna own a yacht, maybe you get to start with this Master.
