Since its introduction in 1956, the Day-Date has undoubtedly been Rolex’s flagship. This model is therefore made of precious metal, apart from a number of rare prototypes: platinum and yellow, white and rose gold. The Day-Date has achieved legendary status over the years, not least by famous porters such as former presidents Eisenhower and Ford, athletes like Jack Nicklaus and Pele and fictional characters such as Don Johnson and Tony Soprano.
The Day-Date that you see here is a white gold reference 1803. The glass is the well-known plastic glass that we know from a vintage Rolex; this gives the watch the distinctive look. The original white gold bracelets have often been replaced due to wear. This is original and in very good condition, so little stretch.
