Introduced in 1945, the Datejust was the first self-winding waterproof chronometer wristwatch to display the date in a small window and has been barely altered, solidifying its iconic status.
This one is the so-called ‘midsize’, 31mm in diameter, which today is the most desired size to ladies. This specific piece is being sold with its original box and papers. Before the millennium people didn’t care that much about original ‘warranty’ papers since they were often thrown away or lost. To have both with a watch of this age is a nice extra. The salmon coloured tritium strengthens the vintage character of this watch and gives the clean face an extra exciting detail.
When it comes bracelets, women often prefer their Datejust on a Jubilee bracelet which is the more elegant option. Therefore we’re happy to offer you this item with its original jubilee bracelet which is still in great condition with a little stretch, definitely a pleasing extra if you imagine this watch is 39 years old. The domed or smooth lunette finishes the elegant look.
