Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601

This Rolex Date-Just with reference 1601 of 1965 is one of the most luxury dress watches ever to be created, very view timepieces come close to the legendary status of the Rolex Date-Just. Classic, prestigious and instantly recognizable, the Date-Just has been Rolex’s signature dress watch since inception in 1945. As Rolex flagship model, there have been countless variations of the Rolex Date-Just throughout its seven-decade history.

This  Rolex Date-Just 1601 is made of stainless steel and topped with a with gold flutted bezel for a touch more lavishness. The most common bracelet fitted onto the Rolex Date-Just reference 1601 is the stainless steel five-link jubilee bracelet. We put this Rolex on a old rose colour strap, but you can always personalize your watch with a strap you like. Something interesting to note about this Date-Just reference 1601 is the “pie pan” dial. This refers to the outher edge of the dial dropping slightly- a look similar to a pan used for baking pies. This watch has a sunburst dial that gives a special character to this watch.  One of  the key features Rolex was and still is the accuracy, something that can be found back in 1910 with proofs of a chronometer testing- today almost all the watches.
