Corum Clou de Paris Ref. 7812620

Corum has always stood slightly apart from the mainstream Swiss brands. Founded in 1955 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the company built its reputation on watches that challenged traditional shapes and finishes sometimes bold and playful, sometimes quietly elegant, but rarely ordinary. Through the 1970s and 1980s Corum became known for exploring unusual case forms, decorative techniques, and dials that pushed design a step further.

This ref. 7812620 from the 1980s shows the brand’s more restrained side: a squared stainless-steel case with a silver Clous de Paris guilloché dial. The fine hobnail texture gives the dial depth without being flashy, and the addition of a discreet date window keeps it practical for daily wear.

Around the outer edges of the case you’ll find delicate engraved detailing an uncommon touch that adds character once you notice it. The watch is fitted with its original mesh-style bracelet, finished with a well-made folding clasp engraved with the Corum key logo.
