The Submariner series from Rolex is one of the most popular models from Rolex, because of its classic style, it looks robust. The Rolex Submariner Date reference 16610 is introduced in 1989 with a water resistance of 300 meters (1000 feet). This model was produced until 2010 and then replaced by the model Submariner Date 116610.

The first Submariner was introduced at the Basel Fair in 1954 and was a great success from the start. Rolex always had a certain type of person in mind for which the watch was designed. Consider the somewhat later GMT for the pilot, the Explorer for the explorer. This is how the legendary for the professional divers was born. In the following years, Rolex experiments and improves at a rapid pace. In 1959 the reference 5512 chronometer and in 1962 the reference 5513 came out. This view is the basis in the appearance of the current Submarine
