De geschiedenis van Movado is lang en illuster. Het bedrijf gaat terug tot 1881, toen Movado werd opgericht, in een kleine dorpje in Zwitserland. Ditesheim was slechts 19 jaar oud toen hij begon met zijn carrière in horloges. Gedreven door zijn innovatieve geest, kreeg de ontwerper Ditesheim al snel erkenning. Rond 1900 hadden ze een prijs gewonnen voor kwaliteit en innovatie op de tentoonstelling in Parijs. Het was pas in 1905 dat de Movado naam officieel vorm kreeg, Movado vertaald betekent “altijd in beweging”.
Onze Movado Dresswatch Automatic is een kleine heren variant, namelijk 33 mm, die in nieuwstaat verkeert. N.O.S. staat voor ‘New Old Stock’ wat betekent dat het horloge zo uit een winkelvoorraad komt en dus nog nooit gedragen is. En dat is voor een horloge uit circa 1952 zeer speciaal. Het horloge heeft, zoals u op de foto’s kunt zien, een zogenaamde decentrale secondewijzer. De kast is van staal met een gouden lunette. Al met al is dit horloge in mint conditie en wordt geleverd met het origineel Movado doosje. Liefhebbers smullen hiervan. Bent u er eentje? Dan bent u van harte welkom in onze winkel in de Reestraat.
