Patek Philippe Ref. 3445 Full set
Here we have a stunning and very clean watch everything we love in one piece.
First of all, it is a Patek Philippe, one of the most well-known and respected brands in the world of watchmaking, famous for its stunning movements and timeless designs.
Secondly, it is a true dress watch: clean, elegant, and not loud. The watch comes in a very modest 35 mm size, fitted on a classic leather strap with its original 18k gold Patek Philippe buckle.
The case is beautifully shaped, with the crown slightly hidden and protected by the side of the case, giving it a very refined look. On the dial we find a beautiful champagne color, combined with black hands and black hour markers, which creates a perfect contrast and even gives the watch a slightly sporty touch. The date window at 3 o’clock adds practicality without disturbing the clean design.
Nevertheless, it remains the perfect daily dress watch, because inside we find the beautifully finished ultra-thin Patek Philippe caliber 27-460 automatic movement, powered by an 18k yellow-gold winding rotor. While many Calatravas come with a manual-winding movement, this one keeps running on your wrist from the moment you put it on, while still maintaining a slim and elegant profile.
In fact, it is the perfect daily dress watch in 18k yellow gold from Patek Philippe.
What makes this piece even more special is that it comes from the first owner and has been beautifully preserved, with very sharp edges. Even better, the watch comes as a complete set, including its box, papers and original invoice everything is still there.
Truly a very complete and exceptional find.

We’re here to help.
In 1932, the year in which brothers Charles and Jean Stern acquired Patek Philippe, the name of the manufacture’s prestigious symbol, the Calatrava cross, was given to a watch collection. The first true ‘family’ of watches Patek Philippe had created, the Calatrava quickly became a classic and is still regarded today as the brand’s most iconic collection.
The design was inspired by the Bauhaus movement, a German school of Arts based on the belief that ‘less is more’ and ‘form follows function’. Since the purpose of a watch is to tell the time, these principles discouraged any embellishments which could detract from the time-telling.
The result was a watch that was at once beautiful and practical. Presented in a round case with a flat bezel and simple dial with baton indices, the art of omission in the debut model Ref. 96, came to characterize the Calatrava’s understated, yet timeless style.
The design has become a template for other brands. A simple, minimalist dress watch with a sub-dial for the seconds at six o’clock, is often referred to as a Calatrava watch, regardless of the brand. So while Patek did it first, it is perfectly reasonable to stumble upon a JLC Calatrava or a Vacheron Constantin Calatrava.
