Patek Philippe Ellipse double signed Gübelin Ref. 4513 +SP

The Patek Philippe Ellipse reference 4513 is already a refined and less obvious corner of the Patek Philippe world, but this example goes a step further. Dating to circa 1972, it combines the elegant oval case of the Ellipse with a diamond-set bezel and, most importantly, it has that ‘extra sauce’. In other words; a double-signed dial bearing the name Gübelin alongside Patek Philippe Genève. It is exactly that combination that makes this piece so special.

Double-signed watches have long been appreciated by collectors for the extra layer of provenance and rarity they bring. In this case, the Gübelin signature adds real charm to an already elegant watch, linking it to one of the most respected historic retailers of vintage Patek Philippe.
