This Patek Philippe Calatrava Ref. 7119 is proof that small, quiet watches can still have plenty to say. Made in 18k white gold and dating to 2013, it has that crisp Calatrava elegance, but with a little extra ‘Clous de Paris’ texture around the edges.

The bright blue leather strap gives the watch a fresh, slightly playful twist, especially against the cool white gold case. Finished with its original white gold buckle, it feels refined, but not too serious about it.

The Calatrava has been Patek Philippe’s great exercise in restraint since 1932. The 7119 carries that idea in a smaller, more delicate form: traditional Roman numerals, small seconds, a hand-wound movement and that lovely Clous de Paris bezel giving the whole thing a quiet extra touch.
