Here is a Rolex Datejust from 1969 with a rather different feel to it. First of all, the combination of an Oyster bracelet and smooth bezel makes for a more minimalist and sporty aesthetic than a fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet would.
The real highlight on this beauty is the dial though. It is a dynamic, mid-grey. The sunburst effect ensures a lively interaction with the light, with silvery and purplish tones. In other light, the dial turns a dark, deeper grey. It will draw your eyes to it under all circumstances! The pie-pan edge and ten identical hour markers complete a very attractive look.
