Met haar goddelijke proporties, het geval van de Golden Ellipse, in 1968 gelanceerd, heeft ongetwijfeld geïnspireerd tot één van de mooiste hoofdstukken van de geschiedenis. Dankzij deze unieke mix van gedurfde eenvoud en formele puurheid, is dit horloge uitgegroeid tot één van de vlaggenschepen van de Patek Philippe collectie en zeker één van de meest herkenbare creaties.
Deze blauwe beauty is ook van dit befaamde wereldmerk en is gemaakt van 18k witgoud. De ‘nachtblauwe’ kleur geeft het horloge een exquise uitstraling en een pure schoonheid die niet op beeld is vast te leggen. Het uurwerk moet met de hand worden opgewonden en is volledig geserviced. Het caliber 23-300 werd voor het eerst gebruikt eind jaren 50 en is een manufactuur uurwerk van Patek Philippe. Dit horloge werd ongeveer in 1983 gemaakt maar is door de jaren heen niet minder mooi geworden. Op de wijzerplaat staat ‘Gubelin’ en Gubelin is (of was) een juwelier dat horloges verkocht met een vermelding van de eigen naam op de wijzerplaat. De platte met de handgemaakte crocoband maakt het geheel compleet, een ‘tijdloos’ sieraad.
