Seamaster Chronostop
De Chronostop is een ongebruikelijk model van Omega. Het horloge is erg kenmerkend voor de experimentele jaren 70. Omega bracht in deze jaren de meest waanzinnige horloges op de markt; sommige opvallend door extreme kastvormen, sommigen met opvallend kleurgebruik en anderen met uitzonderlijke gebruiksmogelijkheden.
De Chronostop (1968) was oorspronkelijk bedoeld voor ’Drivers’, ofwel sportievere automobilisten. De bedoeling was dat het horloge aan de binnenzijde van de pols werd gedragen. Doordat het uurwerk en de wijzerplaat 90 graden gedraaid waren, kon de tijd afgelezen worden zonder de handen van het stuur te nemen. De Chronostop had bovendien een eenvoudig soort chronograaf, geschikt om kleine tijdsmetingen mee te doen. De secondewijzer gaat lopen als de knop wordt ingedrukt, wordt deze nogmaals (aanhoudend!) ingedrukt dan kan de verstreken tijd afgelezen worden.
Het hier aangeboden model is het meest gezochte uit de serie: de Seamaster Chronostop. Het horloge heeft een wat dieper liggende wijzerplaat met een interne tachymeterschaal. De tritium wijzerplaat en wijzers zijn origineel. Het is feitelijk een duikhorloge (41 mm) met geschroefd achterdeksel welke voorzien is van de extra functie van de Chronostop.
Erg cool, erg zeldzaam en zeer gewild! Dit horloge verkeert in keurige staat, heeft een stoere bijpassende band en is door onze specialisten volledig in orde gemaakt.
