De Longines Heritage 1945: Elegance and simplicity.
Op de website van Longines kun je onder ‘Novilties’ zien dat Longines een horloge gaat uitbrengen welke is gebaseerd op een model uit 1945. Longines grijpt vaker terug op haar ‘roots’ met haar Heritage lijn. Dit horloge uit 1945 laat de stijl zien van die tijd en zal liefhebbers van deze era en van elegante vintage horloges, zeer aanspreken. De kast van de Heritage 1945 is uitgevoerd in staal, net als het origineel, en huist een automatisch uurwerk, caliber L609, daar waar het origineel een (handwind) caliber 12.68z heeft. Ook de diameter is ten opzichte van het origineel een stuk groter, namelijk 40 mm t.o.v. 35 mm.
Waarom vinden we dit zo interessant? Welnu, wij hebben het origineel in onze collectie waar de Heritage 1945 op is gebaseerd. U ziet dat het horloge geleefd heeft. De patina op de wijzerplaat is onmiskenbaar aanwezig. Het horloge is geheel origineel en heeft zogenaamde ‘fixed lugs’.
Ach, u weet dat wij de verhalen achter horloges zeer waarderen en u denken wij ook wel. Dit is weer een mooi voorbeeld. Het horloge is toevallig in ons bezit gekomen en daardoor des te leuker om te zien dat Longines dit model opnieuw, 72 jaar later, gaat uitbrengen.
