In de wereld van de ‘haute horlogerie’, wordt Jaeger LeCoultre vaak in één zin genoemd met merken zoals bijvoorbeeld Vacheron Constantin en Audemars Piguet. De Reverso is waarschijnlijk het meest herkenbare Jaeger LeCoultre model, voornamelijk vanwege de iconische rechthoekige vorm en omkeerbare kast. In de jaren 1920, klaagden Britse Militaire Officieren dat hun horloges niet bestand waren tegen het dragen tijdens hun Polo games. Jaeger LeCoultre nam deze klachten serieus en ontwikkelde een omkeerbare kast (reversible case) dat het horlogeglas beschermd tegen schok en stoot. In 1931 introduceerden (en patenteerden) zij de Reverso.
De klassieker is de klassieker van Jaeger Lecoultre. Qua design is dit het horloge door de jaren heen niet veranderd. Art Deco wijzerplaat met de Arabische index en decentrale secondewijzer. Deze Reverso, referentie 240.1.14, is van een grotere soort en volledig 18 karaats rosé goud. Het horloge is net retour van atelier van JLC. Het heeft een volledig onderhoud gehad en een nieuwe originele lederen band. Afgewerkt met een luxe 18 karaats gouden vouwsluiting, zoals het deze kroonjuweel betaamd. De originele doos en papieren komen bij dit horloge met een gangreserve van 8 dagen(8 Days).
Niet een horloge voor iedere pols, qua gewicht en afmeting (46 mm x 29 mm). Als het horloge gedraaid word , ziet u een klein rond glaasje waar een getal in staat, welke het aantal dagen gangreserve aangeeft. Al met al een horloge wat gezien mag worden!
