Het ‘Rue de la Paix’ klokje was er ooit in drie verschillende uitvoeringen, drie merken en drie kleuren. De klokjes komen voor met Jaeger, Jaeger-LeCoultre en LeCoultre op de wijzerplaat. De voorkomende kleuren zijn: groen, goud en zwart.
De eerste uitvoering heeft alleen een tijdweergave. De volgende tekst komt van een catalogus uit 1960:
“Gaslight Clock, model 397. A touch of Paris in a miniature copy of a French lamp post. Decidedly different and charming, this exclusive clock is designed with imagination en taste. 8 day, 7 jewel movement. The gilt case is beautifully finished in lacquer. Stands 11 inches high. 29,95 dollar.”
De tweede uitvoering heeft een 12-uur alarm en de derde uitvoering tenslotte, heeft een 24-uur alarm. De Recital versie kwam in twee uitvoeringen: het alarm display in de bovenste helft van de wijzerplaat en één met het alarm display in de onderste helft van de wijzerplaat.
De uitvoering die wij u hier aanbieden is in groen uitgevoerd, heeft Jaeger op de wijzerplaat en een 8-daags uurwerk met alarmfunctie. Onze schatting is dat dit klokje uit circa 1965 stamt.
Een prachtig klokje voor wellicht op een schoorsteenmantel. Tevens voor de liefhebber van het merk (Jaeger) LeCoultre.
