Het verhaal achter dit model Christiaan van der Klaauw Homburg is, dat ergens in 1999/ 2000 een vastgoedhandelaar 20 horloges bij Van der Klaauw heeft besteld om deze te schenken aan zakenrelaties. Het overigens zeer klassieke horloge is daarmee best zeldzaam. Het gemodificeerde uurwerk is gebaseerd op een handwinder Valjoux 88 caliber. Dit prachtige uurwerk is te zien door het saffieren achterdeksel. Naast de voor Van der Klaauw kenmerkende weergave van de stand van de maan, heeft het horloge een chronograaf functie en een zogenaamde ‘triple calendar’. Ofwel de dag, maand en dagdatum wordt weergegeven. De uuraanduiding is in ‘Brequet stijl’ ook weer een klassieke weergave. De wijzerplaat is tenslotte prachtig bewerkt. De kast van dit bijzondere model is uitgevoerd in 18k geel goud. Dit geldt ook voor de gesp aan de nieuwe, bordeauxrode krokodil lederen band.
Het horloge heeft een service ondergaan in het atelier van Van der Klaauw. We hebben nog de originele doos en garantiepapieren beschikbaar. Dit is overigens nummer 11 van de 20. Een horloge en uurwerk van formaat.
